My name is Artem Ostapenko

I'm a CG Artist with over 14 years of experience in computer graphics for feature films, TV series, commercials, and music videos.
While studying at an art university, I focused on photography and interior design, where I developed a strong foundation in framing, composition, color theory, and many other visual principles that I actively apply in my work today.

My professional career spans work with numerous studios in various roles, including compositing, supervision, generalist work, and stereo conversion.
Over the years, I’ve contributed to a wide range of projects—working on set, collaborating with directors, helping develop scenes and visual effects during pre-production, and leading projects through to final delivery.
I’ve been trusted with the most complex and multidisciplinary tasks, which has allowed me to grow into a well-rounded artist with deep knowledge across many areas of CG.


While my primary focus is compositing, I also have a strong passion for 3D and FX simulations, which I actively incorporate into my work.

2022-2025

Senior Compositing Artist Pixomondo

Pixomondo is a major global visual effects studio with numerous industry awards and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work on top-tier projects. Joining Pixomondo pushed my quality standards to a new level as I worked on a wide range of projects, from blockbuster films to high-end TV series, including Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, House of the Dragon, and Damsel. I am not limited to a single type of task—I've been trusted with various challenges, such as full-CG character compositing, R&D and LookDev participation, face replacements, complex multi-layered DMP integration, and more. Throughout my time here, I have built a strong reputation as a reliable and skilled artist. Leaving this amazing company is not easy, as I truly appreciate the opportunities and experiences it has given me.

2020-2021

CG Artist

123 VFX

Joined 123 VFX, a studio composed largely of former colleagues whom I had previously trained and supported. In my role as Lead Compositor, I also provided comprehensive technical support to the compositing team. We worked on notable projects, including high-profile Netflix productions, as well as advertising campaigns. Producers consistently prioritized my work due to my ability to execute creative ideas under tight deadlines. My proficiency in various tools, including 3D graphics, allowed me to swiftly implement adjustments and provide immediate responses to feedback, ensuring a high standard of quality and client satisfaction. Through this work, I built a strong reputation and a loyal client base, many of whom I continue to collaborate with today.

2015-2019

Compositing Artist, Compositing Supervisor Argunov Studio

I started my career in computer graphics at Argunov Studio, where I played a key role in the studio's growth. Progressing from an artist to Head of the Compositing Department, I led a team of over 30 artists and contributed to enhancing the overall quality of our graphics output by developing best practices and setting high production standards. I established stereoscopic 3D conversion workflows using PFDepth, optimizing these processes based on project budgets and team capacity. Additionally, I implemented automation for routine tasks through Python and Cerebro, which significantly increased efficiency and allowed artists to focus on more impactful work.
